Small and strong: COCAM wt880 from Laetus

The COCAM wt880 camera from Laetus was developed for the inspection of barcodes in tight spaces: Its narrow design permits its integration into the packaging process even when space is limited. The camera decodes and checks all current markings in real time, including GS1 Data Bar, Datamatrix, Pharma and QR codes. A two-colour LED illumination ensures high contrast levels and high reading capabilities. The verification process is supported by features such as an automatic focus, live imaging and a diffuser that suppresses mirroring from reflective surfaces.

The COCAM wt880 from Laetus reliably inspects codes at speeds of up to three meters per second. It is equipped with a WVGA sensor and can reach a resolution of 384,000 pixels. The built-in quality control of barcodes is based on the ISO/IEC 15415 and ISO/IEC 15416 guidelines.

Two-colour LEDs guarantee outstanding reading performance even with low-contrast colour codes. The code camera also scores points for its low space requirements and flexible installation. Its rotating connector unit permits varying installations and its robust housing is of industrial-strength.

The training requirements for the user are low, because the system can be operated intuitively. A wizard allows for a fast and easy integration into the Laetus Web platform. It ensures an efficient configuration of the camera and minimises the effort required for maintenance and diagnostics. Additional features and details about the COCAM wt880 can be seen in a product video at http://www.laetus.com/en/products-and-solutions/identification/cocam-wt880.html
