New Managing Director at Laetus: Dirk Hendrik Kneusels

After more than 13 years at Laetus the long-serving managing director Herbert Turnwald began his well-deserved retirement on 31st October 2008.

Herbert Turnwald hands over to Dirk Hendrik Kneusels, another long-serving member of the Laetus staff, who moves up from the position of Sales Director.
"Laetus owes Herbert Turnwald a lot," commented Kneusels. "I'm thinking especially of the wealth of ideas that he displayed and which inspired all of us to keep expanding our product portfolio, a portfolio that, without a doubt, has brought us the success and commanding position in the market that we enjoy today."

Herbert Turnwald can look back on a colourful past at Laetus: from his position as Manager for Sales and Marketing at the then Romaco subsidiary Laetus in 1995, Turnwald went on to head the Sales and  Engineering department and assumed overall leadership of the company in 1997. He oversaw Laetus' launch of the successful products POLYPHEM wt, INSPECT wt and POLYCHECK wt.

With this new job Dirk Hendrik Kneusels sets a new milestone in own Laetus history: More than 20 years ago Kneusels started at Laetus as a trainee (during his university studies as a engineer of physical tetechnology) to deepen his knowledge directly from the industry sector.
After university he started at Laetus in the field of engineering of opto-electronical sensors, changes the job over the project planning department to the sales department, where 2005 he took over the overall direction.

So Kneusels is well versed in all procedures and issues at Laetus.
"The company's 34-year history makes it the firm not only with the longest record of activity in the sector but also with the most successes” Kneusels said. “If we are to continue to notch up successes we need more than just an excellent portfolio of products; we also need committed employees. And Laetus has over 130 of them spread around the world."
