Connected Packaging in Action
At Interpack, Videojet, Esko, Laetus, and other Veralto companies showcase how a fully connected packaging ecosystem comes together—from artwork creation to printed codes, inspection, and data use.
In this workflow, packaging design and item-level identifiers (serialized QR codes and human‑readable GTINs) are combined early on, so every pack is ready for reliable traceability from the start.
Laetus on the Production Line
When production starts, every code must be printed correctly, used only once, and fully traceable.
Laetus receives code pools directly from Esko or via our external communicator and securely manages them within validated production environments. Our software sends the codes to connected printers, such as those from Videojet, enabling precise, real‑time marking of each individual product.
Using camera‑based inspection, Laetus verifies code readability, correctness, and associated human‑readable text. Verified items are recorded as GOOD; faulty items are automatically rejected and logged as BAD. Additional cameras can be added for further quality and inspection tasks.
From Verified Codes to Real Business Value
After production, all serialized data is uploaded to connected systems, creating a reliable digital record for every item produced.
This item‑level data enables regulatory compliance, product authentication, efficient recalls, and new opportunities for marketing and customer engagement. With Laetus, manufacturers gain secure control, trusted data, and strong brand protection—all within a connected, end‑to‑end packaging workflow.
